Two beef patties, cheddar, bacon and Frank’s sauce: the double bacon cheeseburger is the order to start with at Frank’s Grill. It comes tucked into a round bun, with waffle fries alongside, and keeps the main decision pleasantly straightforward.
The restaurant cooks its burgers over wood and charcoal and pairs them with a retro diner setting. For a burger lunch or a casual dinner, pick the branch that works for you, order the double and give the fries their share of the table.
The first order
The double bacon cheeseburger
The double puts two 130-gram beef patties under the cheddar and bacon, with Frank’s sauce completing the filling. That is a substantial amount of beef before the cheese, bun and side enter the equation. Choose it when you want the burger to be the main meal.
There are single and triple versions too, but the double is our recommendation for this combination. It brings together the grill-cooked beef and familiar bacon-and-cheddar toppings without needing to work through a long list of additions.
The bun holds a tall stack, and the sauce runs across the patties and melted cheese. Keep the wrapper around the lower half as you eat; it makes this particular order easier to manage. With the fries already included, there is no need to add a separate side before you have seen the basket.

The side
Keep the waffle fries
The standard accompaniment is waffle fries, potatoes cut into a lattice and cooked in three stages. Their broad, ridged shape makes them easy to pick up between bites of the burger.
We would keep the plain version with the bacon double. The burger already has cheese, bacon and sauce, so the standard fries make a straightforward pairing. If you want a more dressed-up side, the Parmesan Truffle option adds truffle oil, garlic butter and Parmesan. Sweet potatoes are another alternative.
If you want a different filling
A Classic or a Piggy
For a burger with vegetables and pickles, choose the Classic: beef, cheddar, tomato, lettuce, red onion, pickles and Frank’s sauce. It is the choice to make when those additions are part of your ideal burger.
The Piggy takes another route, combining beef, cheddar and bacon with crispy onion and honey-mustard sauce. Order that for the onion and honey-mustard combination; stay with the bacon cheeseburger if you want Frank’s sauce.
Our first order remains the double bacon cheeseburger with the standard waffle fries. It is a clear introduction to the restaurant’s grilled burger format, and an easy order to remember for a return visit.
Choose your Frank’s Grill
The Colegiales branch is at Ciudad de la Paz 415. There is also a Palermo location at Cabello 3401, plus Martínez at Avenida del Libertador 13837. Select the correct branch in the online menu before placing an order, and check the official website for current opening hours.
If you are collecting burger places around Buenos Aires, add The Flour Store and its Patty Melt Bacon to the list too. It gives you another specific order to try on a separate outing.
Save Frank’s Grill in Plateback with the branch you plan to visit and double bacon cheeseburger in your notes. Afterward, record your preferred patty count and side so the next order is already decided.
